CoExistence launches on The Mall

Saturday 15th May marked the launch of CoExistence.

Herd crossing road

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest campaign, ‘CoExistence on’ The Mall on Saturday 15th May. The launch received a phenomenal response from the public and the press, featuring in The Sunday Telegraph, Evening Standard, Reuters, and Town & Country.

The herd arrives in the UK making a bold statement about the ever-growing need for CoExistence on our planet. Elephants may be giants but they tread softly. This 100-strong herd reminds us that when we lighten our footprint, wildlife bounces back.

Presented by Xerjoff

CoExistence is a multisensory exhibition enhanced by the perfumes of our headline sponsor, Italian perfume brand Xerjoff. Founder and Creative Director of Xerjoff, Sergio Momo launched the CoExistence campaign with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting alongside Elephant Family Ambassadors and Patrons Joanna Lumley, Donna Air and Amy Jackson. Xerjoff have provided three perfumes: Accento Overdose, Starlight and Alexandria II to enhance the CoExistence exhibition and bring the herds to life by evoking scents of their jungle habitat through their naturally sourced ingredients from India.

Captured by George Butler

Immortalising the exhibition in ink and watercolour is in the inimitable George Butler, whose artwork will be on display at the Sladmore Contemporary Art Gallery at 32 Bruton Place from 23rd June.

Why did the elephant cross the road?

This moment would not have been possible without the incredible work of The Real Elephant Collective to produce the majestic herd, and IBI International Logistics to transport and install the sculptures helping to conjur such an iconic image.

We would also like to thank all of our sponsors and partners for their generous support of CoExistence: Chantecaille, House of Waris Elephant Friendly Tea, LOVE BRAND & Co., Nyetimber, Petersham Nurseries, Savills and Truefitt & Hill.

Meet the herds

The herd are currently residing at the Cadogan Estate on the King’s Road (Duke of York Square and outside the Saatchi Gallery) ahead of their debut in Green Park, St James’s Park and Berkeley Square from 14th June to 23rd July. Make sure to come down and experience them in all their glory and bask in the ambiance of Xerjoff perfumes made with ingredients taken from the jungles of India.

Head to the CoExistence website for more information and to enquire about purchasing a sculpture.
