Elephant Family and Reading for Wildlife

Elephant Family are delighted to announce our collaboration with the fantastic campaign Reading for Wildlife created by Zella Hunter, author of “An Elephant For Breakfast”.

“An Elephant For Breakfast” is a storybook by Zella, teaching children about the true impact of poaching through the medium of a gripping adventure story where children smash an ivory smuggling ring.

On her campaign, Zella has been joined by some of the most remarkable people on this planet, reading the children’s book one chapter a day, for 27 days. The project is run in collaboration with wildlife charities like Elephant Family who need your help now more than ever, just like your wildlife.

With support from the likes of John Scanlon, David Yarrow, Joanna Lumley, Bella Lack and james Glancy, Reading for Wildlife is educating children all about the illegal wildlife trade and providing a handy reminder of how you can help:

Share the story

Adopt an endangered animal

Visit when you can

Educate yourself

Donate to a conservation charity

It is the belief of both Zella, Reading for Wildlife and Elephant Family that once children understand the importance of animal conservation and environmental protection, they will become the generation that can secure the future of wildlife on our planet.

Reading for Wildlife x Elephant Family

Our very own lead Trustee Ruth Powys has recorded a reading of the final chapter of “An Elephant for Breakfast” joining Elephant Family supporter Joanna Lumley.

Elephant Family are delighted to be supporting Reading for Wildlife and Zella in her endeavour to educate the next generation.
